What We Believe

This church confesses that the Holy Scriptures are the Word of God and are the norm of its faith and life. We accept, teach, and confess the Apostles', the Nicene, and the Athanasian Creeds. We also acknowledge the Lutheran Confessions as true witnesses and faithful expositions of the Holy Scriptures.

We are a people who point to Christ--the mirror of the Father's heart. Scripture is the cradle that holds Christ. We are evangelical. We are good news. We're a confessing movement because we always interpret with the gospel. We're here to proclaim radical good news.

The Holy Scriptures

The Old and New Testaments are the cradle of Christ. The are the norm of our faith and life. They are the witness to the gospel--that in Jesus Christ we are justified by grace, through faith, on account of Christ, apart from works.

"In Him we live, and move, and have our being." ~Acts 17:28

Theology of the Cross

Everything we can know about God is hidden in the cross of Christ. The cross is how God chose to rescue us. The cross is a scandal and foolishness. It is the ultimate form of God’s love.

The Lutheran Confessions

Gleaned from Scripture, they are faithful witnesses of this Gospel of Jesus Christ. A gift from our spiritual ancestors, they are gathered together in the 1580 Book of Concord and include the Augsburg Confession, Apology of the Augsburg Confession, the Smalcald Articles, both the Small and Large Catechisms, and the Formula of Concord.

Faith Active in Love

Indeed we are justified by grace--nothing can take away from God's love for us in Jesus Christ. Works of love are the fruit of faith--love for God and for our neighbor--all done out of gratitude for what God has done for us.
